Revitalize Alessandria's hospital

The project aimed at revitalizing Alessandria's hospital, scheduled to start on 04/07/2022, faced delays, commencing on 07/09/2022. Financed by the "European Regional Development Fund (FESR)," it strives to reduce energy consumption in buildings, with a total budget of €6,512,422.76 from various sources.
The deviation in start dates prompts scrutiny of project planning and management. Delays may impact the overall timeline, necessitating a reevaluation of execution strategies also aim, if possible, not to further delay the expiry date more than it is already delayed.
A breakdown reveals collaborative funding, with €6,512,422.76 allocated. Cohesion funds dominate, comprising €1,600,000 from the EU, €1,120,000 from the revolving fund, €408,000 from the Region, and €3,312,421 from another public source.
These payments have not been updated since 10/30/2023, this pushed us to ask ourselves why, a question that we will also ask the people we interview in the place concerned to obtain as much information as possible on this case that we are investigating, and not just ourselves, so as to have concrete and true answers and not just hypotheses which may be false. This intervention aims to significantly reduce the energy consumption required for heating, improve environmental comfort for users and staff, and bring a significant improvement to the overall aesthetic appearance of the monoblock, generally improving the lives of the people who use this service. In particular, savings of 35,704.1 MWh of thermal energy, 3,586.7 MWh of electricity and 7,781.3 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to 25,000 plants saved each year, were calculated as expected benefits over the next 10 years.
While timeline concerns persist, the substantial funding signals a collective commitment. The project's environmental goals align with sustainability objectives. Ongoing monitoring is essential to assess progress and ensure successful integration of renewable sources. This data-driven analysis emphasizes transparency and adaptability for informed decision-making in large-scale redevelopment initiatives. In the civil hospital of Alexandria the ordinary beds in 2020 were 1440 equal to 9.9% in Piedmont, instead in 2021 the places read to order have suffered a decrease to 1305 pairs therefore to 9.2% . In addition, the Hospital of Alexandria is part of the section of buildings, at the time used, for services, which in the province of the same name, according to Istat data of 2011, amounted to 1750. However, these data have not been updated since the last census in 2011 and, as far as the province of Alessandria is concerned, they are the only data available.
