The 2025–2026 edition of ASOC – Open Cohesion School Catalunya, organised by the Catalan Government’s Data Area of the Directorate-General for Artificial Intelligence, Efficiency and Data in Administration in collaboration with the educational agency D’EP, has been successfully concluded. The initiative involved 7 class teams from different cities across the Iberian Autonomous Region.
The final event of the Spanish educational programme, held online yesterday, 18 May, was attended by several representatives of Catalan institutions as well as members of the Italian ASOC team, who conveyed greetings and thanks on behalf of the Italian Department for Cohesion Policy.
During the meeting, the participating schools presented their work and the winning team was announced: GREEN EURO LLOR from Sant Boi de Llobregat, which received congratulations from all those attending.
This year marked the sixth edition of ASOC in Spain, confirming the consolidation of the civic monitoring educational model across Europe.
Over the years, Spain, together with Croatia, has become the European country that has contributed most significantly to the international growth of the ASOC project. This represents not only a numerical achievement, but above all a sign of continuity, commitment and shared vision, which has made it possible to create and strengthen a community of schools, teachers, institutions and students united in the aim of raising younger generations’ awareness of participation, transparency and European cohesion.
An experience that may grow even further thanks to the initiative undertaken by the Catalan coordinators together with those responsible for the communication of European funds in Spain, aimed at exploring the possibility of extending the project to other Spanish regions in the coming years.
