Lesson 1 of the international pilot project At the School of OpenCohesion (#ASOCEU) starts today in Spain, in the region of Catalonia!
The Italian ASOC team is now in Barcelona to support the Catalan referents from the Secretariat of Transparency and Open Government together with the Secretariat for Foreign Action and the EU in the organisation and management of the first videoconference on the contents of the educational project with the teachers of the 6 schools involved.
In the online session, with the Institut Camp Clar de Tarragona, the Institut Escola l'Agulla del Catllar, the Institut Frederic Martí Carreres de Palafrugell, the Institut les Cinc Sènies de Mataró, the Institut de Prèmià de Mar and the Institut Rocagrossa de Lloret de Mar connected by the Delegations of the Ministry of Education in their territories, the organisational and educational contents of Lesson 1 are shown and studied in depth: cohesion policies in Europe and their priorities for Catalonia, civic monitoring and Open Data. In the coming days, teachers and students will select a project financed in their territory, create a first Data Expedition and define the roles within their team (Bloggers, Data Analysts, ...) in order to set up a real research dossier.
Thanks to #ASOCEU, the publication in Catalonia of open data on projects financed by EU cohesion policy is now available on https://analisi.transparenciacatalunya.cat/Sector-P-blic/Resum-de-dades-dels-projectes-finan-ats-pel-FEDER-/6i3i-itp8 .
On the web portal on transparency and open government of Catalonia, a specific section dedicated to ASOC is also online, ready to host the educational contents suitably adapted and enriched as they are available: http://governobert.gencat.cat/ca/dades_obertes/open-data-school/.
So, good start of civic monitoring, to ASOC teachers and students in Catalonia!
