The exciting adventure of the pilot project At the School of OpenCohesion (#ASOCEU) begins also in Portugal, in which there are involved the schools of Sousel, Campo Maior, Ponte de Sor, Vila Viçosa and Ourique from the Alentejo region.
Lesson 1 has been launched through a dedicated online webinar session for th participating teachers, managed simultaneously by the ASOC team in Rome and by the representatives of the Portuguese Managing Authority – Divisão de Programas e Projectos - Comissão de coordenação and desenvolvimento regional do Alentejo.
During the online session, all the organisational and educational topics of Lesson 1 were presented: Cohesion Policy, Civic Monitoring, Open Data, how to collect secondary data… with the purpose to build up a Research Dossier that will become the basis for students of ASOC Portugal all along the educational course programme. To do that, students will have to choose the project to be monitored starting from the data published on www.alentejo.portugal2020.pt, the Open Government web portal of the Alentejo Region which promotes transparency and openness providing information on projects funded by the European Union.
