Titolo del Pitch:
Journey towards sustainable mobility
Pitch 1:

The challenge that has been posed to us is to analyze and study in detail the implementation of the cycle path of Marsala, which has been the subject of numerous criticisms lately as it doesn't ensure the safety of both cyclists and motorists. The name of our team is 'The Sunset On 2Wheels' and we deal with the 'REALIZZAZIONE DI UNA PISTA CICLABILE SUL LUNGOMARE URBANO DI MARSALA',developed along an urban route that goes from the Lungomare Salinella through the old town centre to beyond the tourist harbour. The project stems from the Department of Mobility Infrastructure and Transport publishing DDG 3023 on 13/10/2021, concerning Admission to funding for the Construction of bicycle path in the urban waterfront of Marsala under Action 4.6.4 "Development of infrastructure necessary for the use of low environmental impact means.
The construction of a bicycle path aims to improve and change the lifestyle of citizens considered, at times, sedentary, so it aims to improve the quality of life, but also gives a clear reference to sustainable mobility, the main objective of the monitored project

Pitch 2:

We immediately began conducting initial research, administering an online questionnaire to citizens, which garnered over 220 responses. The most common comments criticize the bike lane and its implementation, as it doesn't ensure the safety of cyclists or motorists. While some of the population criticizes the bike lane, there is another part that asserts it could bring about a radical change in citizens' lives, making it more sustainable and eco-friendly. After interviewing local experts such as Councilor Coppola, Surveyor Parrinello, Engineer Putaggio and Municipal Councilor Passalacqua we know that  the construction of the bike path on the Marsala urban waterfront was supposed to begin on 03/31/2022 but the actual start was on 09/01/2023. The project has some critical issues and is currently working on it. The payments monitored and recorded are 56% of the payment sent for the construction of the cycle path.

Pitch 3:

Our team does not intend to stop working once the project is over. To keep improving the mobility and transport situation and to keep informing people about the power of this project we will continue to work on our campaigns and to interview citizens asking them about the cycle paths. We also intend to keep posting on our social media accounts with reports and general content. With hard working, taking an actual part of our society and without giving up we can make a difference in the social aspect of our world making it better everyday highlighting its beauties.
