ASOC ETC Italy-Croatia: the Award ceremony in Trieste

08 July 2022

The final award ceremony of the ASOC ETC (European Territorial Cooperation) Italy-Croatia pilot project took place on 8 July in the splendid setting of the Hotel Savoia in Trieste.

The experimental educational path involved 4 pairs of Italian and Croatian classes in twin activities of civic monitoring of projects freely chosen and in collaboration by each pair of the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 programming.

The monitoring research was subsequently evaluated by a commission appointed ad hoc, which identified the previously announced winning couple Termoli-Buzet (team histo-CRIT-i call). After months of work and distance comparisons, the two classes finally met in person at the award ceremony, organized in Trieste by the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 Programme.

A truly special occasion for the Molise and Istrian schools, which, thanks to the brilliant presentations of the project manager students of their respective groups, were able to tell about the development and results of their research work in the presence of Italian and Croatian national authorities. A moment made even more precious by the award ceremony of the two schools, with the delivery of plaques and certificates of participation, collected by the students and teachers.

The pilot project was carried out thanks to the support of the Italian Department for Cohesion Policy, the Italian Agency for Territorial Cohesion, the Managing Authority of the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 Programme (Veneto Region), the Italian Ministry of Education, the Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and EU funds and the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education.

From all the ASOC team a warm thanks to those who took part in the ASOC ETC Italy-Croatia pilot, with the hope of meeting again on our return from vacation for a new cross-border monitoring!
