On Friday 11 March the ASOC team spoke at the online meeting "Engaging citizens and civil society in Interreg", organized by the INTERACT Programme with the participation of the European Commission - DG REGIO and OECD.
Focus of the day: the real and significant involvement of citizens and civil society organizations in cross-border cooperation programs. The meeting had in fact the aim of highlighting the good practices of Interreg programmes and cohesion policy, presenting two pilot projects of Interreg programmes that have already begun to develop tools and / or processes for participation.
Then, the ASOC educational path was presented - with a focus on international pilot projects in the Interreg field - and the civic monitoring research conducted by the 3niAPedali team, of the School "Da Vinci Pascoli" of Gallarate (VA), which in the ASOC 2020-2021 edition monitored the project “Ti-Ciclo-Via: development of a cross-border cycling mobility system in the territories of the Olona, Lanza and Mendrisiotto valleys” of the Interreg Italy-Switzerland programme. An area of intervention, the latter, which ASOC is preparing to include within the ASOC ETC experimentation, in close collaboration with Europe Direct Lombardia.
