Revaluation of traditional food culture

The subject of our work is the revaluation of traditional food cultures in Istria region. We chose it because we are curious to understand the differences and analogies between different countries and rediscover the sites where these traditions are rooted. We firmly believe that food is a key to comprehend people’s history and heritage. We want to see how Italian and Croatian institutions joined forces to reinforce the preservation and innovation of food and tourism. The project will tackle the challenge of the increasing demand of diversification of the tourism offer in all seasons and decongesting the main destinations and seaside resorts located in the Adriatic area that are suffering from pressures for an internationalisation of the tourism structures and mass, low-cost tourism. project partners will contribute to offer a sustainable tourism product and strengthen the area as a high-quality destination. the main objective is to protect and preserve the historically rooted cuisine and the less known heritage sites and give a boost to the cross-border economy thanks to the KeyQ+ experiential tourism packages. Since we want that this restoration starts from the new generation, we think that the social medias, along with a website, are the fastest way to spread our ideas and proposals on a large scale. As a team we divided all the work in minor tasks, in order to concentrate more in the details, along with the interests of the students. Our roles are: project manager, who had to manage the time and the workers; storyteller, who had to interface with public; designer, who had to operate in the graphic aspect. Then we had social media manager, who took care of social medias; blogger, who wrote our articles and social posts; analysts and coders, who managed datas and head of research, who sought for reliable data sources.
