Titolo del Pitch:
CYCLING FOR FUTURE
Pitch 1:

Our group has decided to monitor the project implemented by the city of Turin on sustainable mobility for the use of bicycles. It consists in the construction of the Green Belt cycle path connecting other parts of the main city system. The choice fell on this project as our way of life, today based mainly on fossil fuels, has led to the unsustainabiity of the climatic situation. Current governments are trying to discourage the use of fossil fuels and encourage more eco-sustainable solutions. The main sources of pollution in urban areas are car traffic, heating of buildings and toxic residues produced by industries. Our goal is to improve sustainable mobility in the city by favoring the use of cycle paths also through monitoring projects such as the Green Belt. Our group has decided to monitor the project implemented by the city of Turin on sustainable mobility for the use of bicycles. Pitch 2:

In addition to the interviews with the assistant to the Mobility Manager, and other people connected to the use of bicycles in Torino, such as the EcoBike mechanic, and through the questionnaire created for those who would use the cycle path, we discovered important information, such as kilometers and safety's increase in Turin's cycle paths since 2015). The most important phase was the in site monitoring of the track by a couple of volunteers in our group, through which we discovered that the whole cycle path has been completed, but we could also find some things that could be ameliorated.

Pitch 3:

Since the project we followed with Opencoesione has been completed, we would like to continue monitoring the construction of the Green Belt Ciclopista in Torino. In this regard, our group discussed to decide how to continue to do that. Unfortunately we cannot go all together yet, for this reason we will personally go and observe the functionality of the cycle path, individually or in small groups at different times and then later discuss about what we have observed. Even in time of pandemics, we will be able to do it with the motivation of doing physical activity, which is very important especially in this period.
