Titolo del Pitch:
A LONG JOURNEY TO GREAT SUCCESS
Pitch 1:

The name of the project we decided to monitor is DigiPASS Assisi and its theme is “web and digital services”. But what is a "DigiPASS"? DigiPass offices are open public places everyone can have free access to. They offer help to citizens and companies in the use of digital services.

The project was implemented with European funds (FESR program 2014-2020) to fill the huge gap between those who can use technology and those who cannot and get excluded from many public services.

Our aim was to understand the results of the project and how the funds were used, and we succeeded in getting all the information we needed. In order to do that, we used primary and secondary data, such as Istat data, interviews and polls. To spread our results we decided to use a Podcast, a simple and effective tool.

Pitch 2:

After much research on the ISTAT website, we discovered that Assisi is not very digital. It seemed like a losing game at first, however the percentage of people who use the Internet in Assisi significantly increased after the conclusion of the project.

We contacted the municipality of Assisi to know how the funds were used, and the Digital Facilitator of the service who provided us information on the users.

Thanks to an essential interview at Regione Umbria we discovered that the main reason that led to the realization of the project was the digital divide between those who are able to use the Internet and those who are not.

We also found out that the main problem was the advertising of the service so, during an online event about Cohesion Policies, we suggested some interesting solutions.

Pitch 3:

The project was completed on schedule and we found solutions on how to continue and improve it.

Through a survey it was found that the main problem is that the project is not very well known and used among young people. A further problem is that it is not used by the elderly, since they do not use electronic devices much, which today are important for daily needs such as requesting prescriptions and doctor's appointments.

In order to face this issue, we decided to bring our solutions to the online event about Cohesion Policies organized by Regione Umbria on 9th March. A good idea is to advertise the project through flyers, to ensure that it reaches people who don't use the internet. We also plan to organize events in the centers for the elderly to raise awareness about the project.
